I assume most of you will have read the issue paper of Commissioner Hammarberg on Gender Identity. If you have not, you certainly should, here is the link:

We have the opportunity to deliver a list of national and international contacts to whom the paper will be sent directly by the Commissioner including a letter.

This is where we need your help:
Please think of politicians or high rank civil servants or people in the civil society whom you think should get this issue paper directly from the commissionar. The people should be in a position to have an impact in national politics or be able to influence social change in your country. Remember that we can suggest one, maybe two people per country. So it would be good if you got in touch with the other trans groups in your country to come up with a good suggestion.

Please send the following details back to me (directly to this mail adress, not through the list to avoid to much traffic):
-Name and postion of the person
-short description why this person should get the paper directly
- full postal adress for snail mail
- whether you speak on your own behalf or on behalf of an organization

Note that if you do not include the full postal address your suggestion will not be considered.

The deadline is Saturday 15th of August .
